The truck tractor for difficult operating conditions KamAZ-65206 is a modern truck tractor with a 6x4 wheel arrangement, developed in collaboration with the Daimler company. This car is intended for transportation of goods as part of a road train weighing up to 44 tons. Based on the reliable and proven Mercedes-Benz Axor heavy truck, with the participation of specialists from Germany and with the wide involvement of imported components and assemblies, this tractor was launched into serial production in 2013 that meets Russian road and climatic operating conditions.
The three-axle truck tractor is built on the Daimler component base and is, in fact, the “older brother” of another modern KamAZ long-range truck - the KamAZ-5490 two-axle tractor. Especially for the production of KamAZ-65206, a separate conveyor was built by the Chelny enterprise. This model of a truck tractor has another factory designation, according to the new KamAZ classification of production indices: T2642, where the first two digits indicate the total mass of the car, and the next two digits indicate the power of its engine.
